CVAP Day 3 - PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
It's day three of our CVAP journey...and our assignments...keep piling up...ha...haha...hahaha...
It's still pretty fun though. As a Mass Communication graduate, these lessons and assignments felt like
I'm back being a college student.
Anyways, our third day was focused on constant practice, and the program started off with another set
of CVAP alumni speakers. The first one was from The Golden Voice - Ms. Janeane Santos. She talked
about her experiences, practices, successes, and rejections of winning clients as a freelance voice
artist. She reminds us to keep moving forward, keep practicing, and use our negative experiences along
the way to fuel ourselves in order become better voice artists.
In the afternoon, we had the Pappy Voice - Harlem Ferolino , A.K.A Papa Lem, talk about his
journey as a voice artist. He taught us that we should love what we do, be active and available
in volunteering as a voice artist, and be socially active by interacting with your audience.
During the program we also had lessons focusing on practicing to become better in voice acting. We
had to recite English and Filipino tongue twisters TEN TIMES and as fast as we can, but making sure
that we enunciate every word clearly.
Lastly, we had a group activity and it's one of the most enjoyable things that I've ever had during the
program. We had this Zoom-arte, which is technically a live radio drama. All groups had a week to
prepare for making scripts and practices. Our group just practiced the day before the start of our day
three program, and it was really really fun!
